Trois ansplus tard, il entre dans le r&eacute;giment de Lyonnais. Il obtient en 1748 le brevet de capitaine de br&ucirc;lot et occupe alors le rang de capitaine d'infanterie. La m&ecirc;me ann&eacute;e, l'officier s'embarque pour l'&icirc;le Royale (&icirc;le du Cap-Breton). Il commande une compagnie des troupes de la Marine en 1750. Apr&egrave;s la guerre de la Conqu&ecirc;te, en 1761, il rentre en France, puis quitte l'arm&eacute;e en 1764.</span></p>
